Beloved Filipino bakery-café brand Café Mary Grace is making its first international expansion with the opening of its Singapore outpost on Tras Street in the bustling Tanjong Pagar district. The 28-seater café officially welcomes guests starting 13 March 2026, marking a major milestone for the iconic Filipino brand after more than three decades in the Philippines.
Known for its comforting pastries and warm hospitality, the café brings its signature treats, including its famous Ensaymadas and Cheese Rolls, alongside classic Filipino dishes and Singapore-exclusive creations tailored for local diners.
The story of Café Mary Grace began in 1994 when founder Mary Grace Dimacali started baking in her home kitchen for family and friends. What began as a heartfelt hobby quickly gained popularity, with her handmade cakes and pastries appearing at bazaars and local markets.
The growing demand eventually led to the opening of a bakery kiosk in 2002, followed by the first full Café Mary Grace outlet in 2006. Over the years, the brand has evolved into one of the Philippines’ most beloved café chains, often described by loyal patrons as a comforting “home away from home.”
Now, the brand is bringing that same sense of warmth and hospitality to Singapore, a city celebrated for its vibrant food scene and appreciation for Southeast Asian flavours.
At the heart of the Singapore menu are Café Mary Grace’s well-loved pastries. Highlights include the Mary Grace Ensaymada (S$5.50), a soft, buttery brioche topped with premium aged Edam cheese, and the Mary Grace Cheese Rolls (S$4.30) with their creamy cheese filling.
Guests can also pair these with the café’s rich Mary Grace Hot Chocolate (S$7.50) or indulge in the refreshing Mango Bene (S$14.50, petite), a layered dessert featuring crisp meringue, custard cream, and fresh mangoes.
To celebrate its Singapore debut, the café is also introducing exclusive menu items, including the Salted Egg Ensaymada (S$6.50) and Kaya Pandan Cheese Roll (S$5.30), offering local flavours inspired by Singapore’s culinary culture.
Beyond pastries, the café also serves a selection of Filipino comfort dishes and brunch favourites. Diners can start with Cassava Chips with Onion Dip (S$12) or the refreshing White Cheese Salad with Calamansi Vinaigrette (S$18).
For heartier options, the menu features dishes such as Angus Beef Tapa (S$25.50) served with rosemary fried rice or garlic rice and eggs, as well as the Grilled Chicken Inasal Focaccia (S$19.50) marinated in tangy achuete spices.
Another Singapore-exclusive highlight is the Crabcake Brioche (S$27), where golden crab cakes are served on soft ensaymada brioche dough.
Complementing the dishes is a wide selection of drinks, ranging from aromatic coffees to playful cloud drinks, creating a well-rounded café experience for guests.
For those looking to bring a taste of Café Mary Grace home, many of its baked goods are also available in beautifully packaged boxes. These include the signature Ensaymadas and Cheese Rolls, along with Queso de Bola Lengua Thins (S$24) and Butter Lengua Thins (S$21), delicate, buttery biscuits perfect for gifting or sharing.
The new café reflects the brand’s signature cosy atmosphere, featuring warm wood accents, stained-glass pendant lights, and a collaborative mural created by Filipino artist Amanda Lapus Santos and Singaporean artist Eunice Hannah Lim.
Continuing a tradition from the Philippines outlets, guests will also find photographs and handwritten notes beneath the tables, where diners are invited to leave messages and become part of the café’s growing story.
Every design detail has been carefully curated by founder Mary Grace Dimacali herself, ensuring the space retains the heartfelt charm that made the brand a favourite in the Philippines.
