Molly Tea Lands in Singapore with Its Largest Southeast Asia Flagship

Singapore’s bubble tea scene moves fast, but it is not every day that a brand with over 2,000 outlets worldwide lands on our shores. Founded in Shenzhen in 2021, Molly Tea has quickly built a cult following across China and expanded into markets such as the US, UK and Australia. Known for centring its identity around floral-scented Chinese teas, especially jasmine, the brand makes its Singapore debut at Orchard Central with its largest Southeast Asia flagship spanning 1,400 sq ft.

From 3 to 22 March, the “Have a Beautiful Day with Molly Tea” pop up takes over the space just outside the store, giving visitors a taste of what to expect inside. The space is really pretty, with soft pink tones, clean lines and a bright, contemporary layout that feels polished yet dreamy. The pop up features a signature Molly push cart, floral backdrops and a dedicated merchandise wall, creating a fully immersive experience that is very photo worthy.

I tried four of the six signature drinks, and as a first timer, I was curious because floral teas can easily be either too light or overpowering. Thankfully, these hit the right balance.

The Snowy Jasmine was the prettiest drink of the lot. Topped with a thick swirl of jasmine whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed pecans, it looks more like a dessert than a tea. At its base is the Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, made with fresh jasmine that is fragrant but not artificial. The whipped cream adds a silky layer, while the pecans provide a gentle crunch, making it creamy and balanced without being jelak.

The Premium Jasmine Apple Milk Tea is a pastel pink drink that feels light and refreshing, perfect for Singapore heat. The apple juice tastes freshly squeezed rather than from concentrate, lifting the creamy jasmine tea so it does not feel too heavy.

The White Champaca Milk Tea felt the most refined. Champaca is a magnolia hybrid with fragrant white flowers, and here it gives a soft, rounded floral note. The taste lingers nicely and is very fragrant, perfect for those who love flowery teas.

The Pistachio Jasmine Coconut was a surprise. I thought the flavours might clash, but they actually work well together. The light coconut sweetness comes first, followed by the nuttiness of the pistachio foam, while the jasmine ties everything together at the back. It tastes layered but still smooth, a good option if you want something different from the usual milk tea.

There are two other flavours to explore: the Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, the brand’s global bestseller that put Molly Tea on the map, and the White Champaca Matcha, which pairs the floral tea with matcha cheese foam for a creamier, umami finish.

Beyond the drinks, the merchandise adds another layer to the Molly Tea experience. Most items come in soft pink, with some sleek black variants. There are little scented keychain bags, and the Cloud Tote Bag, Insulated Tumbler and Singapore-exclusive Blind Box Magnets all carry the same polished, floral aesthetic, making it a full lifestyle experience.

To celebrate its Singapore debut, Molly Tea is running grand opening promotions from 6 to 8 March. Customers can enjoy one-for-one on the top six signature teas, limited to four redemptions per person while stocks last, though no toppings will be available during this period. Every purchase also comes with a sure-win gachapon spin, with prizes ranging from 1-for-1 drink vouchers and Molly Tea merchandise to top prizes such as a branded card holder, perfume and lipstick.
