As the auspicious Year of the Fire Horse approaches, CapitaLand invites shoppers to celebrate Chinese New Year with a vibrant blend of tradition and contemporary flair. Charging into the festive season with renewed energy and optimism, CapitaLand presents the Carousel of Prosperity, a dazzling Chinese New Year installation set to tour selected CapitaLand malls in Singapore.
The festive centrepiece makes its first stop at Funan (Level 1 Atrium) from 22 January to 8 February, before galloping over to Westgate (Level 1 Courtyard) from 9 to 22 February. Designed to delight visitors of all ages, the installation anchors a broader festive campaign filled with CapitaStar rewards, performances and celebratory activities aimed at ushering in prosperity and auspicious beginnings for the year ahead.
At the heart of the Carousel of Prosperity is a striking rotating horse carousel that captures the dynamism and optimism of the Year of the Fire Horse. Rendered in bold shades of red, green, blue and yellow, the horses symbolise abundance, harmony, growth and renewal. Surrounding elements such as hanging golden fortune coins, sculptural clouds and lucky stars complete the scene, evoking blessings and well wishes for the new year.
Shoppers can immerse themselves further in the experience by taking part in a Fortune QR Code hunt around the installation. By entering the reward code CAROUSEL in the CapitaStar app and scanning the Fortune QR codes using the eVoucher function, participants stand a chance to unlock STAR$ rewards of up to 88,000 STAR$.
Photo-worthy moments abound at the Gallop and Glow photo zone, where visitors can pose in their Chinese New Year outfits alongside the Scarlet Prosperity Horse, set against vibrant firework-inspired backdrops that radiate celebration and cheer.
Adding to the festive storytelling are three thematic standees, each carrying an auspicious message. From the harmonious duo Prosperity Horses symbolising shared blessings, to a playful horse holding a red packet that nods to generosity and wealth, and a spirited steed riding atop a koi crowned with a golden ingot, each installation reflects hopes for abundance, success and prosperity in the year ahead.
Families and friends can also strike playful poses at the on-site photobooth, which offers Chinese New Year–themed instant photo strips featuring the adorable Prosperity Horses. For per session, visitors receive two printed photo strips of the same festive design.
Returning by popular demand, the CapitaStar Cosmic Catch & Claim game comes dressed in Chinese New Year cheer. From 28 January onwards, CapitaStar members can play the game daily on the CapitaStar app to catch Prosperity Horses, Fortune Coins and Lucky Ang Baos to earn STAR$ or extra lives.
Each member starts with two lives daily, with opportunities to gain additional lives by completing simple actions such as purchasing or gifting a minimum eCapitaVoucher, linking a Mastercard, connecting their CapitaStar account to DBS PayLah!, or linking with ShopBack.
Adding to the festive spirit, CapitaStar members can also send digital red packets through the app, allowing them to share well wishes and prosperity with loved ones during the Chinese New Year period.
The Carousel of Prosperity in Singapore also reflects CapitaLand’s cross-border creative synergy, extending the ongoing Unbox CapitaStar Wonder campaign in China. Celebrating the Year of the Horse in 2026, the collaboration brings together creative inspirations from China with thoughtfully localised interpretations in Singapore, highlighting CapitaLand’s commitment to cultural exchange and festive innovation.
Running from 5 December across more than 30 CapitaLand malls in over ten cities in China, Unbox CapitaStar Wonder spans major seasonal celebrations, from Christmas and New Year’s Day to Valentine’s Day, before culminating in its Chinese New Year chapter, featuring immersive installations, interactive photo zones and digital rewards.
CapitaLand’s annual Zodiac Reading also returns for 2026, in collaboration with Yuan Zhong Siu, Asia’s leading Feng Shui consultancy founded by Grand Master Hillary Phang. Shoppers can explore what the Year of the Horse holds for them through the detailed Zodiac Reading, available at participating malls including IMM, SingPost Centre and Westgate.
Beyond the installations and digital experiences, CapitaLand malls will host a lively lineup of Chinese New Year festivities. Visitors can look forward to traditional lion dance performances, the bustling Mini Shopping Festival and playful activations such as Mofusand Paws-perity with CapitaStar, rounding out a Chinese New Year celebration designed to delight shoppers and families alike.
