Huawei has officially unveiled its latest flagship foldable smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate X7, at the HUAWEI Flagship Product Launch Event held in Dubai on 11 December. Marking another milestone in Huawei’s seven-year journey at the forefront of foldable innovation, the Mate X7 brings together cutting-edge design, professional-grade imaging, exceptional durability and powerful performance, setting a new benchmark for premium foldable smartphones.

Where innovation meets artistry
The HUAWEI Mate X7 introduces a refined and modern aesthetic, led by the signature “Time-Space Gate” camera module with multi-dimensional curved surfaces and intricate three-dimensional crystal cutting. Inspired by traditional Eastern artistry, the Brocade White variant draws from the “Light-Woven Brocade” aesthetic, seamlessly blending craftsmanship with contemporary design.
For those who prefer a bolder look, Nebula Red and Black variants feature a luxurious vegan leather finish, offering a sophisticated yet expressive style that complements the device’s ultra-slim profile.
Flagship imaging that redefines mobile photography

Photography is a standout feature on the Mate X7, with a professional-grade camera system that rivals top-tier bar phones. The True-to-Colour Camera delivers 43% improved colour accuracy and 96% greater light intake, intelligently correcting colour casts in complex lighting conditions, from dimly lit cityscapes to vibrant night markets.
Image clarity is further enhanced by the Ultra Lighting HDR Camera, which features a quad-element optical design and an ultra-thin 0.4mm glass lens. This ensures sharper images with optimal exposure across a wide range of shooting environments, without compromising the phone’s slim form.
Rounding out the camera system is a 50MP Telephoto Macro Camera with an industry-first compact periscope design, offering 3.5x optical zoom and telephoto macro capabilities. Whether capturing sweeping landscapes or fine details, the Mate X7 delivers high-definition results at every focal length.
For video enthusiasts, Ultra HDR Video technology supports 4K recording with a 17.5 EV dynamic range, enabling richer colours and exceptional detail in both bright and low-light conditions.
Built to last, engineered for resilience

Despite its sleek design, the HUAWEI Mate X7 is built with durability at its core. The front display is protected by Ultra Durable Crystal Armour Kunlun Glass, designed to resist scratches, bumps and drops. Its Advanced Precision Hinge, crafted from ultra-high strength steel with a five-arc-shaped arm design, ensures smooth folding while enhancing structural stability.
A 3-layer Composite Ultra-Tough Structure protects the inner screen from impact, creasing and aging, while an aviation-grade aluminium middle frame and ultra-strong composite brocade fibre back cover provide all-round protection. The device also boasts IP58 and IP59 dust and water resistance, offering added peace of mind for everyday use.
Power that keeps up with you

Powering the Mate X7 is a high-capacity 5,600mAh Silicon-Carbon Anode Battery, paired with 66W wired and 50W wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge for fast and convenient charging. To keep performance smooth under heavy use, the device features a 3,550mm² SuperCool Ultra-Large VC and graphene heat dissipation system, ensuring the phone stays cool and responsive whether gaming or multitasking.
