Ultraman Card Game Teams Up With Hit Manga DAN DA DAN For Special Anniversary Release

Tsuburaya Fields Entertainment International recently announced a major crossover for trading card game fans and manga readers alike. The Ultraman Card Game is launching a special collaborative booster pack featuring original artwork by Yukinobu Tatsu, the acclaimed creator behind the massively popular series DAN DA DAN.

Revealed at the Tsuburaya Convention 2025, this collaboration marks the card game’s first anniversary. Tatsu, a lifelong Ultraman fan, has created an exclusive original illustration of the classic foe “Alien Metron The Hallucination Alien.” The artwork depicts the alien dashing through a dusk cityscape and will be available as a special promotional card.

This unique card is not found in regular booster packs.

It is distributed as a box topper, meaning collectors will receive one copy with every purchase of a 24 pack display box of the Booster Pack Vol. 5, titled “Heroes of the Radiant Dawn”.

The partnership taps into the immense popularity of Tatsu’s work. “DAN DA DAN,” an occult battle and coming of age story serialized on Shonen Jump+, has sold over 10 million copies and been adapted into a popular anime.

“Tatsu is a globally renowned manga artist and a lifelong fan of Ultraman, so we collaborated with him to create this illustration for the first anniversary Booster Pack as a way to thank all our players for their continued support,” said Eiji Shishido, General Producer of the Ultraman Card Game.

Rudy Ng, Vice President of Tsuburaya Fields Entertainment International, expressed excitement about the partnership. “Tatsu’s unique style, which blends the eerie with a humorous charm, perfectly captures the sinister spirit of Alien Metron. This card is not just a powerful gameplay asset but a true collector’s piece that bridges the worlds of modern manga and the classic Ultraman universe. We believe fans in Singapore, Hong Kong, and across the globe will be eager to get their hands on this special release.”

The “Heroes of the Radiant Dawn” booster pack itself introduces new game mechanics and powerful Quad Rare (RRRR) cards featuring powered up forms of iconic Ultra warriors like Glitter Tiga and Shining Ultraman Zero. Later this year, the company will also release a pre constructed deck titled “Ultra Deck 01 Ultraman Tiga & Ultraman Blazar,” a ready to play 60 card set complete with official markers and limited design sleeves.

The Ultraman Card Game is distributed in multiple countries and regions including Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and the United States. It is available at retail stores, toy shops, and dedicated trading card game retailers.
