Old Chang Kee Launches Japanese Cheezy Curry’O: A Fusion of Heritage and Indulgence

Singapore’s beloved snack brand Old Chang Kee is turning up the flavour with its newest creation, the Japanese Cheezy Curry’O, an irresistible fusion of local tradition and Japanese indulgence.

Crafted by Old Chang Kee’s R&D team, this limited-edition puff blends the comforting richness of Japanese curry with tender chicken, soft potatoes, carrots, onions, and gooey mozzarella cheese, all wrapped in the brand’s signature golden, flaky pastry. Each bite promises a creamy cheese pull and a perfect balance of flavours that celebrate both heritage and innovation.

This launch coincides with the UNIQLO UTme! x Old Chang Kee collection, highlighting a creative crossover between two cultural icons. The collection, designed by local studio Wheniwasfour, features seven UTme! T-shirt designs and six embroidery options inspired by Old Chang Kee’s signature elements, from the legendary REX outlet to fan-favourite Curry’O.

Old Chang Kee’s REX flagship at No. 19 Mackenzie Road has been a Singapore landmark for nearly 70 years, and this collaboration bridges that rich history with modern-day creativity. In recognition of its dedication to preserving heritage, Old Chang Kee was recently honoured with the SG Heritage Business Award 2025 by National Heritage Board.

The Japanese Cheezy Curry’O will be available islandwide from October 17, 2025, at $2.50 per piece, while stocks last daily. It can also be ordered through GrabFood, Deliveroo, and Foodpanda.
