The St. Regis Singapore Unveils The New St. Regis Bar: A Manhattan Legacy Reimagined

The St. Regis Singapore has raised the curtain on its newly launched St. Regis Bar, a luxurious destination where the glamour of early 20th-century Manhattan is reinterpreted through a modern Singaporean lens. Designed as both a nod to the brand’s New York heritage and a showcase of local influence, the bar offers an experience where craftsmanship, design, and mixology converge.

A Space of Refined Elegance

Guests are welcomed through polished brass double-storey doors into a setting that blends structure with softness. Bold geometric flooring and elegant metal screens create rhythm, while delicate floral motifs nod to the bar’s botanical inspiration. At the heart of the room, a birdcage-inspired back bar crafted from aged brass illuminates an exceptional collection of spirits.

The design palette weaves deep reds, lush greens, and rich ebony into a sophisticated backdrop. From plush suede banquettes to semi-private enclaves, seating is tailored for both lively conversations and intimate gatherings. Crystal sconces, table lamps, and curated artwork, including lithographs inspired by Picasso’s Toro series, lend depth and character without overwhelming the space.

Cocktail Innovation Led by an Award-Winning Head Bartender

Spearheading the bar’s new era is Head Bartender Kelvin Saquilayan, a seasoned mixologist with over a decade of international acclaim. Known for his inventive yet refined style, Saquilayan brings accolades ranging from Best Gin & Tonic of the Year at the East Imperial Gin Jubilee to championship titles at Woodford Reserve’s The Wonderful Race. His expertise now shapes The St. Regis Bar’s forward-looking drinks programme.

“Time After Time” Cocktail Menu

The highlight of the launch is the debut of the “Time After Time” cocktail menu, a curated journey through five defining decades. Each chapter pairs New York’s iconic drinking trends with Singaporean flavours and cultural touchstones:

  • Roaring Twenties sophistication
  • 1960s glamour
  • 1970s disco-inspired creations
  • 1990s creative cool
  • Future-inspired innovations

Signature highlights include the Merlion Sling, the tropical Eternal Tropicalia, the sparkling Disco-tea-que Spritz, the bold Club Kid Espresso, and the modern DOF.01 Old Fashioned.

Reinventing a house classic, the new Straits Mary delivers a smoky, spice-forward take on the Bloody Mary, with bak kwa-infused bourbon, tomato juice, chilli padi, sancho, black pepper, and gochujang. Martini lovers can explore a trio of expressions, a New Yorker’s revival, a Singaporean original, and a hybrid uniting both cities.

For those seeking non-alcoholic sophistication, the bar introduces three zero-proof cocktails inspired by the theme of time travel. Featuring clarified teas, tropical ferments, and native ingredients such as pineapple, passionfruit, and oolong tea, they are as vibrant as they are memorable.
