Prepare to be transported this October as Glass Beams, the enigmatic project by Indian-Australian multi-instrumentalist and producer Rajan Silva, makes its Singapore debut. The one-night-only performance takes place on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, 8pm at the Esplanade Theatre.
Known for performing behind ornate, bejewelled masks, Silva has built a global cult following with live shows that feel as much ritual as concert. His sound, a hypnotic blend of psychedelic rock, cosmic funk, Indian classical, Bollywood melodies, and Eastern drones, creates a communal, transcendent experience that defies easy categorisation.
Emerging in 2021, Glass Beams draws inspiration from Indian fusion greats like Ravi Shankar and R.D. Burman, while weaving in Western influences from The Beatles to blues and jazz icons. The result: a soundscape that bridges eras and genres, fusing traditional instrumentation with modern electronic production.
After signing with Ninja Tune in 2023, Silva released the acclaimed sophomore EP Mahal, hailed by Pitchfork and Rolling Stone India for its groove-driven, East-meets-West vision. With 22 million Spotify streams and 10 million YouTube views, Glass Beams has quickly become one of Australia’s most exciting exports.
Fresh from sold-out tours across the US, UK, and Europe, and festival sets at Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, and Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, Glass Beams now heads to Asia for the first time with Singapore as a key stop on this highly anticipated tour.
