Pokémon Steps Into Life Simulation with Pokémon Pokopia

The Pokémon Company has announced Pokémon Pokopia, the franchise’s very first life simulation game, arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. Developed in collaboration with GAME FREAK and KOEI TECMO GAMES, this fresh adventure blends the charm of Pokémon with cozy world-building gameplay.

In Pokémon Pokopia, you take on the role of a Ditto transformed into human form, setting out to build a new life alongside Pokémon. From crafting tools with wood and stone to growing crops, sharing Berries, and constructing homes, every action helps create a welcoming community.

As Ditto, you’ll also learn moves from Pokémon you meet like using Bulbasaur’s Leafage to add greenery or Squirtle’s Water Gun to keep plants thriving, shaping your environment into a lush haven that attracts even more Pokémon.

The game is tied to real-world time, offering dynamic weather and seasonal changes. Whether you’re farming, gathering resources, or building entire towns, you can invite Pokémon and even friends in multiplayer mode to join in the fun.
