Singapore’s only female, full-time comedian in the UK, Laura Quinn Goh, is returning home with her bold and deeply personal debut solo show, You, Me, and Your Prison Officer. After five years away from the local stage, Goh will perform at The Lemon Stand on 10 September 2025, 8pm.
The storytelling-comedy hour dives into Goh’s unconventional relationship with a man incarcerated in Singapore and the journey that pushed her to rebuild her life in the UK. With equal parts vulnerability and irreverence, she shares tales of writing erotic prison letters, justifying sacrifice through Chinese mythology, and unexpectedly becoming a comedian for love.
Already a hit with sold-out runs at the Manchester Women in Comedy Festival and Glasgow International Comedy Festival, the show has been praised for its cathartic blend of heartbreak, healing, and absurdity.
Since moving to Glasgow and London in 2021, Goh has carved her mark on the UK comedy scene with appearances on Comedy Central UK and Scottish television. She has been a finalist in West End New Act and Clap Back to Reality, longlisted for the Funny Women Stage Award UK, and performed for clients including Amnesty International and the Greater London Authority.
