[Review] Under Armour’s Halo Collection Debuts in Singapore, Designed for EverydayAthlete

Under Armour has officially launched its Halo footwear collection in Singapore, seeking to redefine what it means to run, train, and move on your own terms.

Designed for the everyday athlete, the Halo series combines cutting-edge technology with a holistic design philosophy, ensuring balance, stability, and energy return with every step.

A key highlight of the Halo collection is Under Armour’s bold redesign of its iconic double-arch logo, now integrated into the shoe’s structure for both visual appeal and functional support. Paired with UA HOVR+ superfoam, the shoes deliver exceptional cushioning and energy return, making each stride feel powerful and responsive.

The collection includes three models tailored for different activities:

  • The Racer: Built for speed and efficiency, featuring dynamic fit and strategic mesh for ventilation.
  • The Runner: Focused on comfort and stability, ideal for long-distance joggers.
  • The Trainer: Engineered for high-intensity workouts, offering seamless support and explosive power.

To celebrate the launch, Under Armour hosted a 5km street run yesterday starting at their Orchard Central flagship store and ending at Hideout Coffee Bar. Participants, including casual joggers like me and my son, Asher, as well as more serious fitness enthusiasts, laced up our Halo shoes for a morning of movement and camaraderie.

The event, organised with EasyPace Run Club, emphasised inclusivity, proving that running is not just about competition but also community and personal progress. Everybody kept at a consistent pace and completed the run as a group.

I was excited to try out the new Halo Racer I was paired with. Bold aesthetics aside, the shoes felt bouncy and powerful, like they were pushing me forward. I am not a ‘serious’ runner, but these made me want to keep going, faster and faster to challenge myself. For a short 5km run, this felt just about right, but it would probably be more comfortable to run with the Halo Runner for a half or full marathon.

Post-run, we get to enjoy cold brew coffee and gourmet sandwiches at Hideout Coffee Bar, capping off a morning of fitness and fun. The vibe was relaxed, reflecting Under Armour’s message: You don’t need to be a runner to run.

We appreciate that Under Armour’s Halo collection is making a statement by merging performance innovation with accessible design, catering to a growing audience of everyday athletes like Asher and I.

For those interested, the Halo collection is now available at Under Armour stores across Singapore and online. Lace up and experience the difference for yourself.
