[Review] Morton’s Weekend Prime Lunch: A Luxurious Yet Hearty Feast for Under $100

For those seeking a lavish weekend dining experience, Morton’s The Steakhouse offers an indulgent Weekend Prime Lunch menu that promises quality, generous portions, and classic American elegance.

Available exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 3pm, this set menu is a stellar choice for steak and seafood lovers and my son, Asher and I recently put it to the test during a lunch tasting over the weekend.

The S$78++ Prime Lunch menu includes a starter, entrée, accompaniment, and dessert. For those looking to elevate their meal, premium upgrades like the 2lbs. Lobster (+S$50) or the decadent Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake (+S$10) are available.

Our lunch started with Morton’s signature onion loaf and house butter. Despite the humble appearance, this is really delicious and something that we look forward to when we dine at Morton’s:

The starters came next, with the Lobster Bisque and Baked French Onion Soup, both house favourites that we are familiar with.

Rich and flavourful, they set the tone for the feast ahead.

Lobster Bisque

The bisque was velvety with a robust seafood essence like we remember, while the French onion soup was perfectly cheesy with a well-balanced broth. Quality is always assured at Morton’s and these two soup dishes always deliver with consistency.

For mains, the 10oz. Slow Roasted Prime Rib was tender, juicy, and served with a choice of two kinds of mustard.

The Morton’s Wagyu Smash Burger was equally impressive, featuring a succulent patty with melt-in-your-mouth richness.

Portions were generous, and even as hearty eaters, we struggled to finish everything.

Sides of Sautéed Spinach and Mushroom and Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes complemented the dishes well, although we ended up packing most of these to go as we were too full after finishing the mains.

Dessert was a highlight as well. The classic Cheesecake was smooth and satisfying, but the perennial house favourite, Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake stole the show. Served warm with a molten centre, it was the perfect sweet finale.
