Vietjet has officially made history with the launch of its first direct flights between Vietnam and Russia, connecting the sun-soaked coastal city of Nha Trang with three key cities in Russia’s Far East: Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, and Blagoveshchensk.
The inaugural flights from Vladivostok and Khabarovsk took off on June 15 and June 18, respectively, in a festive atmosphere celebrating this milestone in Vietjet’s international growth. The first flight from Blagoveshchensk is set to depart on July 9.
These routes, operated as regular charter services in collaboration with major international travel agencies, offer non-stop flights of under eight hours, providing a fast, convenient alternative to previously lengthy transit journeys.
Each Russian city plays a strategic role as a cultural and economic hub in the Far East, and the direct connections are expected to meet rising travel demand, particularly as Russian tourism to Vietnam rebounds. In just the first five months of 2025, over 210,000 Russian visitors arrived in Vietnam—more than 100,000 of them in Khanh Hoa province, home to the popular beach resort city of Nha Trang.
