After a triumphant, sold-out tour across Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth, Malaysian comedy sensation Prakash Daniel is bringing his internationally acclaimed solo show ‘Lobster Boy’ back to Malaysia. Presented by LOL Asia, the multi-city tour kicks off this August, promising an unfiltered dose of street-smart humour, 90s nostalgia, and heartfelt storytelling that hits close to home.
Inspired by his childhood in the vibrant neighbourhood of Jalan Udang Galah (Lobster Street) in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, ‘Lobster Boy’ is Prakash’s most personal show yet. He takes audiences through the highs and lows of growing up Malaysian Indian in a lower middle-class family — tackling themes of friendship, family expectations, identity, and self-worth — all wrapped in his signature comedic style.
From awkward wedding encounters to late-night mamak sessions and being the classic “black sheep” of the family, Prakash turns everyday Malaysian life into punchlines that are sharp, soulful, and universally relatable.
A self-proclaimed sneakerhead, visual storyteller, and street fashion aficionado, Prakash Daniel’s artistry goes beyond the mic. His ability to draw humour from real-life chaos and everyday absurdities gives his comedy a raw, human edge — making every performance a cathartic, laugh-out-loud experience.
