YOTEL has landed in Japan with the grand opening of YOTEL Tokyo Ginza, the brand’s first ground-up development and investment in the country through a partnership with Frasers Hospitality. Officially launched on 9 June 2025, the immersive event marked the debut of YOTEL’s futuristic design and tech-driven hospitality in the heart of Tokyo’s iconic Ginza district.
Over 200 guests – including media, influencers, and corporate partners – were treated to an immersive, multi-sensory celebration themed “YOTEL to the World: Non-Stop.” Guests collected “passport stamps” while exploring city-themed hotel room activations that showcased YOTEL’s space-smart features, mood lighting, and signature SmartBed.
Highlights included:
The evening opened with a traditional Japanese drum performance, followed by speeches from key leaders including Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, Group CEO of Frasers Property; Hubert Viriot, CEO of YOTEL; and Eu Chin Fen, CEO of Frasers Hospitality. A symbolic Kagami Biraki (sake barrel ceremony) underscored YOTEL’s respect for Japan’s rich heritage while introducing its disruptive hospitality concept to the APAC market.
The celebration continued at Komyuniti, the hotel’s first-floor bar and restaurant, with guests enjoying international bites and signature cocktails inspired by YOTEL’s global footprint. DJs Matcha and Una delivered a high-energy B2B set of house, tech house, and disco — giving the night a bold Ginza-meets-global twist.
To celebrate the opening, YOTEL Tokyo Ginza is offering a limited-time 30% discount on bookings here.
