Violet Oon Singapore Unveils Elegant New Dining Destination at ION Orchard Level 4

Violet Oon Singapore has officially opened a sophisticated new restaurant on Level 4 of ION Orchard, marking a new chapter in its culinary journey. Launching on June 10, 2025—seven years after debuting its original brasserie and retail space on Level 3—the refreshed 102-seat venue promises an immersive experience of Singapore’s rich culinary heritage, elevated by signature Peranakan charm and contemporary elegance.

Nestled within a lush, estate-inspired space, the restaurant offers a mix of intimate and social settings. The main 46-seat salon and two private dining rooms for six and ten guests are now open, while a third private room, a tropical-themed indoor veranda, and a new retail boutique are set to launch in the third quarter of 2025.

The new menu is a heartfelt tribute to Singapore’s food legacy. Diners can indulge in beloved classics like Ayam Buah Keluak, Beef Rendang, and Udang Goreng Chilli, alongside recent favourites from the brand’s Dempsey Hill outpost, such as Kerabu Kacang Botol, Daging Panggang Sambal Hijau, and Fuyong Hai Crab. A key highlight is the debut of the Violet Oon Kueh Collection — handcrafted from Chef Violet Oon’s personal recipe archive, featuring nostalgic bites like Bika Ambon, Ang Ku Kueh, and Kueh Koci.

The popular Violet Oon Singapore High Tea set will soon return, offering a curated spread of Peranakan treats including Kuay Pie Tee, Otak on Belgian Endive, and Roti Jala with Banana Pengat Sauce—perfect for an afternoon indulgence.

Also launching at ION Orchard is the beverage programme from Dempsey Hill, which showcases playful yet refined drinks like the Corner Shop Limau, a tamarind-asam boi margarita twist; the floral and citrusy Phoenix Glory; and the indulgent Midnight Straits, a three-layered kopi cocktail with Irish whiskey and candlenut orgeat.

Beyond the food, the decor tells a story. The new 4,700 sq ft space exudes timeless grace, with rich emerald hues, antique Peranakan tiles, and gold accents. Thoughtfully designed for both everyday dining and special moments, the space includes private rooms adorned with personal memorabilia from Oon’s storied culinary journey, offering guests a warm, nostalgic connection to the iconic chef’s legacy.

With its elevated setting and vibrant new offerings, Violet Oon Singapore @ ION Orchard is set to become a must-visit destination for locals and tourists seeking a refined yet authentic taste of Singapore’s food heritage.
