Coliwoo to Launch First-Ever Resort Chalet at 159 Jalan Loyang Besar

Coliwoo, the co-living arm of LHN Limited (SGX: 41O / SEHK: 1730), is making a bold expansion into resort-style living with the transformation of 159 Jalan Loyang Besar into its first-ever resort chalet. The state-owned site, awarded to Coliwoo through a successful tender, marks a new milestone as the brand’s third-largest property—set to offer a vibrant lifestyle destination that merges wellness, community, and nature.

Nestled amid lush greenery and close to major leisure spots like Downtown East, Wild Wild Wet, and Pasir Ris Beach, the 380,866 sq ft site is primed to become a sanctuary for locals, digital nomads, and corporate travellers alike. Once reimagined, the property will feature over 350 keys—double its current unit count—spread across 20 two-storey blocks and 4 single-storey buildings.

The upcoming resort chalet will offer a suite of wellness-focused amenities, including:

  • Swimming pools
  • Indoor and outdoor sports zones
  • Meditation gardens
  • Social lounges, BBQ pits, and event plazas
  • Community events to foster bonding

Tropical Modernism Meets Heritage Charm

Design-wise, the interiors will pay homage to Singapore’s colonial bungalow heritage, adopting a minimalist black-and-white palette that complements the surrounding greenery. This tropical modernist aesthetic aims to blur the line between built environment and natural beauty.

Green Living at the Core

In line with Coliwoo’s commitment to sustainability, the site will feature solar panels, EV charging stations, cycling paths, and landscape-integrated walkways—enhancing eco-conscious living and connectivity with the Pasir Ris surroundings.

Strategic Location for Business and Leisure

Just minutes from Changi Airport and major transport hubs, the resort chalet is ideally placed to meet growing short-term accommodation demand, especially from professionals tied to the development of Changi Airport Terminal 5.

Commercial tenants will also find ample opportunity here. The revitalised development is envisioned as a multi-purpose lifestyle hub, welcoming businesses such as:

  • F&B outlets
  • Wellness and fitness studios
  • Indoor sports centres
  • Unique offerings like padel courts

Timeline

Renovation works are expected to begin in H2 FY2025, with the grand opening targeted for Q3 FY2026. Once complete, the resort chalet will stand as a flagship co-living and eco-lifestyle destination in eastern Singapore.
