Singapore Heart Foundation Revives Charity Show After 20 Years to Celebrate 55th Anniversary

The Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) is bringing back its beloved charity television show after two decades to mark a major milestone—55 years of championing heart health in Singapore. Titled Resilient Hearts – Singapore Heart Foundation 55th Anniversary Charity Show 《心手相连献爱心》, the event will be broadcast live on Sunday, 29 June 2025, from 7pm to 10pm on Mediacorp Channel 8 and meWATCH.

Graced by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Patron of SHF, the show promises an inspiring night of celebrity performances, personal stories of resilience, and heartwarming moments that honour patients, caregivers, and volunteers.

Celebrating “Resilient Hearts”

This charity event is not only the centrepiece of SHF’s anniversary celebrations—it also marks the return of a tradition first launched in 1998. Last aired in 2005, the revived show will spotlight individuals who have shown extraordinary strength in the face of cardiovascular disease. Their powerful stories, shared alongside Mediacorp artistes, aim to rally the public behind SHF’s ongoing mission.

A Star-Studded Evening

Viewers can expect an exciting lineup featuring international stars like Taiwanese singer Chen Lei and Hong Kong legend Kenny Bee, alongside homegrown icons such as Zoe Tay, Kym Ng, Chen Hanwei, Marcus Chin, Shaun Chen, Paige Chua, and more.

Special performances will also include SHF Heart Wellness Centre clients and a guest appearance by Singapore’s legendary goalkeeper, Hassan Sunny, joining Mediacorp artistes in an uplifting showcase of community spirit.

Supporting Heart Health for the Future

Beyond celebration, the show plays a crucial fundraising role—proceeds will go toward developing SHF’s fourth Heart Wellness Centre in eastern Singapore. The new centre will expand access to subsidised, community-based cardiac rehabilitation for patients and at-risk individuals in the region.

A National Call to Action

SHF hopes to build on the success of similar programmes, with a previous Channel 8 charity show in 2023 reaching over 800,000 viewers in just three hours. The Foundation invites all Singaporeans to join the movement by tuning in, donating, and spreading awareness of its life-saving work.
