Skyline Luge Hits 100 Million Rides Globally and Celebrates 20 Years in Singapore with Epic Giveaway

Get ready to race into history—Skyline Luge has officially crossed the 100 million ride mark worldwide! To celebrate this gravity-fueled milestone and two thrilling decades in Singapore, the Sentosa favourite is pulling out all the stops with a grand global giveaway and an eye-catching Golden Cart installation.

A Global Phenomenon with Local Roots

What began as a single 1km track in Rotorua, New Zealand in 1985 has grown into a global sensation with eight locations across five countries—including Singapore, Canada, South Korea, and Malaysia. The brainchild of Hylton Hensman, the luge was designed to give riders full control and a true adrenaline rush—and it’s done just that for generations of thrillseekers.

Among all its international sites, Skyline Luge Singapore stands out as a key contributor to the 100 million-ride milestone. Since opening in Sentosa in 2005 with just one track and chairlift, it has grown into a must-visit attraction with four exciting tracks, two chairlifts, and the world’s first Night Luge experience, introduced in 2023.

Celebrate with a Ride—and a Chance to Win Big

From 1 June to 31 July 2025, fans can join Skyline Luge’s massive global giveaway by simply sharing a photo of their luge adventure on Instagram or TikTok with the hashtags #100MillionLugeSEA and #100MillionLuge. One lucky winner in Singapore will score the grand prize: a trip for four to Busan, South Korea (worth up to ,000), complete with a hosted luge experience along the city’s stunning seaside tracks.

Adding to the festivities, a limited-time Golden Luge Cart will be on display outside the Siloso Beach ticketing counter from 3 June to 31 August. It’s the perfect spot to snap a commemorative photo and mark your part in Skyline Luge history.

More Than a Ride, It’s a Legacy

Skyline Luge’s 100 millionth ride is more than just a number—it’s a celebration of unforgettable memories made by families, friends, and adventure lovers across the globe. In Singapore, it’s also a nod to the incredible team that keeps the wheels turning, including long-time staff member Nur Farhana Bte Abdul Rahim, affectionately known as “Farah Mummy,” who’s been with the ride for nearly 15 years.
