Sofitel Unveils Limited-Edition Floral Croissant Collection Celebrating Global Blooms

Sofitel, the hallmark of French luxury hospitality, is elevating the art of pastry with the debut of its first-ever limited-edition La Haute Croissanterie Blossoms collection. Launching in May 2025 across seven Sofitel hotels worldwide, this exquisite offering pays homage to the beauty of florals and French haute couture, infusing delicate blooms from around the world into buttery, artfully crafted croissants.

This year, La Haute Croissanterie pays homage to the native flowers and flavours of seven Sofitel destinations: South Korea, France, Morocco, Mexico, Australia, Benin, and the UAE

Following the success of La Haute Croissanterie in January 2024, which reimagined croissants through the lens of haute couture and local flavours, the Blossoms collection is a sensory journey through culture, artistry, and floral finesse. This year, the croissant becomes a canvas for edible bouquets—each one highlighting the native flower of a Sofitel destination.

Sofitel’s talented pastry chefs have crafted a collection of bold and vibrant croissants that weave local flavors and fragrances into the buttery layers

A Symphony of Flavours, One Flower at a Time

Among the collection’s standouts is the Seoul Bom Blush, available exclusively at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences throughout May. Crafted by Pastry Chef Hyunho Lim, this croissant captures the essence of South Korea’s cherry blossoms with a cherry blossom whipped ganache and vibrant raspberry gel, encased in delicate layers sculpted to resemble flower petals. Guests can savour this floral creation at the hotel’s Jardin d’Hiver, with the first 30 guests on May 1 receiving it complimentary.

The Seoul Bom Blush croissant has been carefully crafted to evoke the essence of South Korea’s cherry blossom season

Other signature croissants in the collection include:

  • The Verbena Breeze (Paris, France): A romantic nod to Paris with delicate piping and floral charm.
  • The Zesty Orange Blossom (Marrakech, Morocco): A fragrant celebration of Moroccan hospitality with notes of orange blossom.
  • The Dalia Rouge (Mexico City, Mexico): A vibrant fusion of dahlia, elderflower, and plum for a sweet and tangy finish.
  • The Citrus Fleur (Sydney, Australia): A zesty medley of white chocolate, lavender ganache, and lemon myrtle yoghurt crème.
  • The Floral Saffron (Dubai, UAE): A luxurious blend of saffron crème brûlée and pistachio sponge in a violet-hued croissant.
  • The Wild Hibiscus (Cotonou, Benin): Shaped like hibiscus petals, filled with velvety cream and fresh strawberries.

These croissants will be available at participating Sofitel properties for four months, with flavours varying by location.

Sofitel’s creative collection of sweet and savoury croissants in Asia seamlessly blends French Zest with local culture, to bring the brand’s Cultural Link to life

A Croissant for Every Culture

This global floral tribute is part of Sofitel’s broader mission to intertwine French culinary artistry with local identity. In Asia, the La Haute Croissanterie concept continues to flourish with croissants tailored to regional flavours—think teh tarik-infused pastries in Singapore, squid ink and sea salt creations in Krabi, pandan-laced delights in Bangkok, Vietnamese coffee croissants in Saigon, and amok-inspired aromas in Phnom Penh.
