Tucked inside the QT Singapore hotel in the middle of the CBD, Cygnet is a new bar and grill by award-winning Chef Sean Connolly. The place gives off serious New York steakhouse vibes, with a spacious, stylish setup that works for both small and big groups.
Warm, dim lighting makes it an easy pick for a date night or just a chill, indulgent meal.
From Monday to Saturday, between 5:30pm and 7:30pm, fresh Pacific oysters are just $1 each with any main dish. Think hearty plates like the Cygnet New York burger, featuring a juicy wagyu patty, or the Crab Linguini, tossed in a hint of chilli and finished with salmon roe.
And if you can’t make it for dinner, swing by Cygnet Bar on Wednesdays, where the $1 oyster deal continues from 5pm to 8pm — this time with every drink you order. Perfect for a midweek pick-me-up with friends or a relaxed after-work treat.
Dinner started with complimentary bread- soft, warm and fluffy, paired with savoury butter.
We kicked things off with the Devilled Eggs (S$12), which came in playful swan-footed egg cups — a fun nod to Cygnet’s name. The eggs were perfectly cooked, with rich, creamy and smooth textures.
The Feta, Watermelon, and Tomato Salad with Chardonnay Vinegar (S$24) was a refreshing mix of flavours and textures — sweet bursts from the strawberries, a tangy kick from the vinegar, crispness from the watermelon, and a creamy softness from the cheese.
Prawn cocktail- plump bites with added lemon zest to further whet the appetite.
For the mains, we split our loyalties between land and sea — the wagyu rump cap (S$48) brought the hearty, meaty goodness, while the black cod with leek and clam chowder (S$48) delivered silky, ocean-fresh flavours.
We couldn’t leave without a sweet ending — the Strawberry Romanoff came with a boozy brandy yoghurt gelato and a light strawberry consommé, and the classic crème caramel, adorned with fluffy Chantilly cream, capped off our pleasant and fulfilling dinner.
