Vietjet Launches Direct Flights to Con Dao, Unlocking Easier Access to Vietnam’s Historic Island

Vietjet has officially launched two new direct routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao, opening up easier access to one of Vietnam’s most spiritual and historically rich destinations. The new services, which began on 19 April, mark a major step in expanding Vietjet’s domestic network while offering greater travel convenience for both local and international travellers — including those flying in from Singapore.

With a combined 28 weekly round-trip flights, the new routes include two daily morning departures from each city. From Hanoi, travellers can enjoy a 2-hour and 10-minute flight to Con Dao, while the journey from Ho Chi Minh City takes just 40 minutes.

For Singapore-based travellers, Vietjet’s existing flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City now offer smooth connections to Con Dao, making it easier than ever to explore the island’s untouched landscapes, tranquil beaches, and poignant historical landmarks.

The new routes are available in Eco and SkyBoss classes. SkyBoss flyers enjoy perks like priority services, 7kg of carry-on baggage, and 7kg of checked baggage. Eco passengers are entitled to 7kg of carry-on baggage, subject to terms. Tickets are available now here and the Vietjet Air mobile app.

As part of its growing commitment to regional connectivity, Vietjet will also launch a new direct flight from Singapore to Phu Quoc—Vietnam’s largest island—on 30 May 2025, making it the airline’s fourth route to Singapore.
