Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is here, and Activision is bringing their A game to you, so you better be ready.
Black Ops 6 is starting its third season and the best time to get into the game was yesterday, the second best time to get into it is right now! Let’s get into some of what makes this game great and why you should give it a try.
If you do end up deciding to get into the game, and why wouldn’t you. You might want to start at a certain rank or have certain cosmetics already unlocked, or maybe you want some pro players to play with you and help you. For these instances, I recommend getting a Black Ops 6 boost. This experiences the game exactly how you want it!
There’s no shortage of reasons to play Call of Duty Black Ops 6, but maybe you find yourself doubting if it’s worth it. Let’s give you some reasons to play, starting with the most important one when it comes to a multiplayer game.
Black Ops 6 had around 76 thousand players on February on steam alone, which might not sound like a lot. However, you have to add to that the players that are on every console and Battle.net, Blizzard’s launcher and the real home of the game. So it’s clear that the game has a healthy player base, which means the game will keep getting support, updates, and most important of all you’ll keep finding matches.
The zombies are back, and the mode is going back to their roots with a round-based system and more maps, more perks and power ups and more!
You might think that with Black Ops 6’s new movement mechanics, the omnimovement system, this mode might be a bit boring or at least not as engaging because you can just parkour out of most situations. But actually, it’s harder than it might seem. Zombies have improved AI now, they don’t just mindlessly approach you now they adapt to your gameplay by making unpredictable movements and attack in synchronization with each other. They will try to flank you, tear down walls and climb over obstacles. Add to all of this that there are new bosses to fight. So grab a friend and try this mode out so you can see what new lore awaits in this version of one of Call of Duty’s most popular game modes.
Battle Royale games are great and all, but maybe you feel a bit of burn out from all the 100 player matches in immense maps. There’s a time and place for that, but a tight 6v6 match is timeless and with a great variety of new and returning maps you’ll feel nostalgia wash over you from the days of classic Call of Duty. Maps like Nuketown, Firing Range, Hacienda, and Grind make a comeback with updated level design so that you can use the new movement mechanics to the fullest while still enjoying the same old maps.
The multiplayer modes are:
Most of these have a 6v6 player limits, with gunfight being 2v2. There’s also Death match, which is an 8 player mode. I personally prefer these modes over large scale ones, but if you still love Warzone there’s good news there too! All progression in loadouts gets carried over to Warzone. Meaning weapons, attachments, and player progression can be used in Warzone as is.
Black ops 6 has a lot of guns, not the most guns out of the whole franchise mind you, but with this lack of extra guns they focused instead of making all of them feel different. Instead of having a lot of guns that all feel the same. But that’s not all, besides guns feeling unique, you can personalize every gun to make it feel even more like it’s your own weapon. Use different attachments to change almost every stat of the gun, changing everything from its spread to the muzzle flash and more!
Who said only Fortnite can do crossovers? There are already plenty of wacky examples of it happening in Warzone, like Messi, Gundam Wing and Warhammer 40K. And in Black Ops 6 we got crossovers with popular Netflix show Squid Game and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In this new season, it’s already been announced that Jay and Silent Bob will join the cast of crossover characters. I was pretty shocked, you never know which series could be next!
I left this one for last because I mainly wanted to focus on the multiplayer aspect of Black Ops 6, but hey, if you’re purchasing a product you might as well know everything about it, right? This game’s campaign is an espionage thriller story set in the 1990s, where you’ll meet important historic figures and partake in incredible cinematic set pieces. Call of Duty rarely holds back when it comes to these campaigns, and this isn’t an exception. With a mix of linear missions and open world ones, where you’re given a task and how you carry it out depends on you. Choose where to infiltrate a base from, go in quiet or loud, up to you! This design philosophy is very interesting for the franchise, and I hope to see more of it in the future. Try this story mode out while you’re at it and immerse yourself in this great story!
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 got incredible reviews from almost every gaming news outlet, and with good reason. Almost every change to the formula they added was praised by fans. They listened to them when they said they wanted zombies the way it used to be, and to top it off, there’s a great campaign to go with it. With this great streak of listening to player feedback, I can only assume future entries will only be better.
