London-based tech innovator Nothing is bringing back its Community Edition Project for 2025, building on the massive success of last year’s campaign. With fresh opportunities for co-creation and an enticing £1,000 cash prize for winners, this year’s challenge invites participants to push creative boundaries even further.
In 2024, the Community Edition Project made waves by producing 1,000 limited-edition glow-in-the-dark Phone (2a) Plus models—designed in collaboration with the Nothing community. These exclusive units sold out in just 15 minutes and earned a prestigious Gold iF Design Award.
This year, Nothing has released four new design briefs simultaneously, giving entrants more time to refine their ideas and encouraging collaboration among winners. The briefs focus on the next big release: Phone (3a) Community Edition, offering participants a chance to work directly with Nothing’s team to bring their creations to life.
With a bigger spotlight on collaboration and creativity, this year’s Community Edition Project offers participants a chance to redefine what technology can look and feel like.
