Razer and World Team Up to Combat Bots and Ensure Fair Play in AI Gaming Era

As AI-driven gaming reshapes the digital landscape, Razer and World are stepping up to protect human players from third-party bots that disrupt fair competition. The two industry pioneers have announced ‘Razer ID verified by World ID’, a next-gen proof-of-human technology that ensures only real players engage in games, creating a safer and more authentic experience.

Fair Play Starts with Real Players

The Razer ID verified by World ID introduces a secure single sign-on (SSO) that verifies human players for Razer ID—the gateway to Razer’s gaming ecosystem, which includes a game booster, hardware customization tools, payment services, and rewards programs. By proving there’s a real person behind every account, this innovation enhances trust, security, and anti-bot measures across the gaming world.

For game developers, this technology is a game-changer. It enables:

  • “Human-only” gameplay modes to ensure fair competition
  • Stronger anti-bot and anti-harassment protections
  • Seamless authentication for smoother logins and enhanced user trust

First Integration in Tokyo Beast

The first game to integrate Razer ID verified by World ID is TOKYO BEAST, set in a futuristic Tokyo where humans coexist with advanced androids. The game blends strategic battle mechanics, NFT-based digital ownership, and immersive gameplay, making human verification essential to prevent bots, scams, and misinformation. Players can also use Razer Gold, Razer’s global gaming payment service, for secure in-game transactions.

AI Bots Are Changing Gaming—But Not for the Better

A recent survey of gamers highlights the growing frustration with third-party bots:

  • 59% regularly encounter unauthorized bots in games
  • 71% say bots are ruining multiplayer competition
  • 74% feel bots make games less fun
  • 18% have quit a game entirely due to bots

With 77% of gamers agreeing that proving humanity online is crucial, ‘Razer ID verified by World ID’ delivers a timely solution, ensuring fairer gameplay and fostering a trusted gaming community.

Global Rollout & Availability

At launch, players can link their Razer ID to the World App to create a World ID account for human verification. The service is available in 20+ countries, including the United States, Japan, Germany, Australia, and Singapore.
