Apple has introduced the latest iPad Air, now powered by the advanced M3 chip and designed for Apple Intelligence. Available in 11-inch and 13-inch models, the new iPad Air delivers nearly double the speed of its M1 predecessor, offering an enhanced experience for creativity, gaming, and productivity. Alongside the device, Apple has launched a redesigned Magic Keyboard, elevating the iPad Air into a powerful, versatile tool.
The M3 chip brings next-level performance to the iPad Air, with a 35% boost in CPU speed and up to 40% faster graphics compared to M1. With support for dynamic caching, mesh shading, and ray tracing, users can enjoy ultra-realistic gaming, fluid video editing, and seamless multitasking. The Neural Engine also delivers 60% faster AI capabilities, unlocking new features in iPadOS, including Apple Intelligence and advanced creative tools.
Apple Intelligence brings powerful AI-driven features to iPad Air, such as enhanced Siri capabilities, intelligent photo editing, and handwriting refinement with Smart Script. Users can now access ChatGPT directly through Siri and Writing Tools, with built-in privacy protections. The new iPadOS 18 also introduces Math Notes for instant equation solving in the Calculator app, improved handwriting fluidity, and audio transcription for easy note-taking.
The all-new Magic Keyboard transforms the iPad Air into a laptop-like experience, featuring a larger trackpad, a function row for quick controls, and a sturdy aluminum hinge with a USB-C charging port. Priced at S$399 (11-inch) and S$449 (13-inch), it retains the beloved floating design. The iPad Air is also compatible with Apple Pencil Pro, offering advanced features like squeeze gestures and haptic feedback for a more intuitive writing experience.
Apple continues its commitment to sustainability with the new iPad Air, incorporating 100% recycled aluminum and rare earth elements in its construction. The packaging is entirely fiber-based, aligning with Apple’s goal to eliminate plastic from its packaging by 2025.
Pre-orders for the new iPad Air with M3 and updated iPad with A16 chip start today, March 4, on Apple’s online store and Apple Store app in 29 countries, including Singapore. Devices will be available in Apple Stores and authorised resellers starting March 12.
