Blue Bottle Coffee is bringing its renowned specialty coffee experience to Southeast Asia with the opening of its first café in early 2025. Set within LUMINE SINGAPORE at Raffles City, this marks a significant milestone in the brand’s global expansion.
From its humble beginnings as a coffee cart in Oakland, California, Blue Bottle Coffee has grown into a worldwide name in specialty coffee. Following its initial foray into Singapore with a retail store and exhibition in August 2024, the new café will fully immerse guests in the brand’s signature approach to coffee craftsmanship, hospitality, and community.
Designed as a haven for coffee enthusiasts, the new café will showcase Blue Bottle’s meticulous brewing techniques, allowing the delicate flavors of its single-origin beans to shine. Guests can look forward to a seasonally curated espresso menu, featuring beans sourced and roasted with the same precision that has earned the brand its global reputation.
Since its founding in 2002, Blue Bottle Coffee has been a pioneer in the specialty coffee movement, expanding across the U.S., Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, and now Singapore. With the support of Nestlé since 2017, the brand has maintained its commitment to small-batch roasting, precision brewing, and sustainable farmer partnerships.
Blue Bottle Coffee’s entry into Singapore is the latest chapter in its longstanding collaboration with LUMINE, a major force in Japan’s retail and lifestyle scene. The two brands have shared a deep connection, with multiple Blue Bottle cafes housed in LUMINE shopping centers in Japan. Their partnership continues to thrive, with another Blue Bottle café set to open at NEWoMan TAKANAWA in Tokyo in March 2025.
