YouTrip Launches Overseas Transfers, Making Global Money Transfers Seamless and Affordable

Singapore’s leading multi-currency digital wallet, YouTrip, is taking cross-border payments to the next level with its new overseas transfer feature. Now, users can effortlessly send money abroad at the best exchange rates, bypassing the inflated costs of traditional remittance services.

With this expansion, YouTrip cements its position as a one-stop cross-border payment solution, catering to the growing demand for international remittance services.

Send Money Globally with Competitive Exchange Rates

Users can now transfer funds directly to bank accounts or via FAST payment methods like DuitNow, GCash, and UPI in select countries, reaching over 40 destinations, including:

  • Malaysia
  • Indonesia
  • India
  • The Philippines
  • Australia

Thanks to YouTrip’s highly competitive exchange rates and transparent fees, users can maximize the amount received by their loved ones, making international transfers more efficient and cost-effective.

The feature was gradually introduced in December 2024 and is now available to all Singapore users. Since its phased rollout, transaction volumes peaked in late January, aligning with Chinese New Year and payroll cycles—key periods for overseas remittances.

Fast, Secure, and Convenient Transfers

YouTrip’s overseas transfer feature is designed for seamless transactions:

  • Enter the transfer amount
  • Add recipient details
  • Confirm & send
  • Track transfer status in real-time via the app

Users can also specify the exact amount the recipient should receive in their local currency, ensuring whole-number disbursements.

Transfer Limits & Requirements

  • Up to S$20,000 per transaction
  • Annual cap of S$100,000
  • Funds must be topped up via PayNow or a linked bank account

Launch Promotion: Get Cashback on Your First Transfers

To celebrate the launch, YouTrip is rewarding users with a S$5 cashback per eligible overseas transfer (minimum S$300 per transfer), up to S$10 total per user.

Promotion Period: March 3 – March 31, 2025

Enhanced Security for Peace of Mind

YouTrip prioritizes user security with robust protection measures:

  • One-Time Password (OTP) verification for adding new recipients
  • PIN or biometric authentication for transfers exceeding S$1,000
  • Adjustable default transfer limit (S$1,000) with a 12-hour cooling-off period for increases
  • Security alerts via the YouTrip app to detect any suspicious activity

Users are reminded to never click on links in SMS messages and to verify that all YouTrip messages come from the official sender ID: ‘YouTrip’. If any unauthorized transfers are suspected, users should contact +65 6904 9334 immediately to activate the Kill Switch and prevent further transactions.
