This Lunar New Year, Shake Shack is putting the ShackMeister back on their menu on popular demand!
These additions not only include that fan-favourite ShackMeister Ale, but also a new ShackMeister series, with their normal menu items topped with freshly cut and fried shallots marinated in their ShackMeister Ale. This series includes the:
ShackMeister Burger: A typical Shack Burger topped with crispy shallots. We ordered the double burger which gave us even more meat and satisfaction. Their fried shallots are like mini onion rings, but more subtle, and with a slight bitterness from the beer. They were super crispy, and on top of the squishy brioche buns and tender meat, every bite was great and full of flavour. Would try again.
ShackMeister Dog: A hot dog filled with melted cheese in a brioche bun topped with beer marinated fried shallots. The hot dog is meaty and the cheese is creamy. The crispy shallots are a great condiment for the cheesy, meaty goodness wrapped in the soft buns. Would recommend, especially to meat lovers.
ShackMeister Fries: Shake Shack’s regular crinkle cut cheese fries topped with their beer marinated fried shallots. The shallots act as mini onion rings, almost like a side dish on a side dish, and it goes amazingly well, with the two crispy sides combined together by the gooey cheese, its loaded with calories and flavour.
And last but not least, they’ve brought two new drinks:
Strawberry Chocolate Covered Shake: A strawberry shake with vanilla frozen custard, topped with an unhealthy amount of whipped cream, chocolate fudge sauce and cookie crumbles. Thick and rich, this drink tasted great, nice and sugary.
Mandarin Lemonade: Shake Shack’s refreshing lemonade mixed with mandarin orange puree. A light drink to loosen your taste buds and counter the oiliness of fast food and shakes, with just a little but of mandarin to give it even more of a citrussy flavour. This drink was light, refreshing, and fruity, a drink most needed in a burger establishment such as Shake Shack.
Their ShackMeister Ale is brewed with Brewlander, as seen in their booklet, and is pale ale with a sweet malt base, accompanied by a slight bitterness.
