Singapore’s vibrant Maxwell district has a new attraction. KADA, a holistic lifestyle and wellness hub, officially opens its doors in January 2025. Housed within a 101-year-old conserved heritage building, formerly St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital, KADA combines history and modernity in a single destination.
Conveniently located behind Maxwell Food Centre at 5 Kadayanallur Street, it offers a blend of heritage, wellness, and lifestyle experiences, making it a new spot to check out for locals and tourists alike.
Steeped in history, KADA is home to Singapore’s oldest electric lift, built in 1929 by British manufacturer Smith, Major and Stevens. Visitors can still ride the original carriage, a unique nod to the past that enriches the venue’s charm.
KADA spans four curated levels, each offering distinctive experiences designed to inspire a holistic lifestyle.
Coffee lovers are spoilt for choice with four homegrown specialty coffee shops: Pacto by Parchmen, Kyuukei, Kit & Kaboodle, and Echo House. From coffee omakase to bean-to-cup creations, these establishments cater to every taste. Tea enthusiasts can explore home-grown brand, Origin Tea’s fresh, natural offerings.
Food options are equally diverse, ranging from Lavi Tacos Bar’s Mexican cuisine to Haus’ cheesecakes and wine pairings. Other highlights include D’Penyetz Heritage for Indonesian flavours and Shou, which transitions from a dim sum haven by day to Daikoku, a yakitori bar, by night.
Wellness takes center stage with innovative offerings such as AI-driven health solutions at Eternami and reformer Pilates at Satori. Shiruki Studio and Limitless Wellness provide rejuvenating ice baths, hydrotherapy, and physiotherapy. Fitness enthusiasts can head to Limitless Performance, a gym offering personalised training programs and bootcamps.
Habyt KADA @ Maxwell introduces a flagship co-living space featuring modern serviced apartments. Residents enjoy exclusive access to wellness facilities on the second floor, creating a unique urban retreat.
The rooftop offers private dining by Proud Potato Peeler and fresh bakes from Alani, all with stunning city views. For a creative touch, visitors can join art jamming sessions at Closed on Sundays by Lil Palette, catering to both adults and children.
KADA’s versatile spaces, including the atrium, lawn, and rooftop, are available for product showcases, corporate retreats, and celebrations. Customisable F&B options and activities like art or fitness workshops add a personalised touch to any event.
