Funan launches its fifth iteration of the signature Creative Intersections campaign with the theme Snakes and Ladders, a multifaceted experiential exhibition held from 17 January to 16 February 2025. This initiative coincides with Singapore Art Week 2025 and leads into Lunar New Year celebrations, offering an engaging blend of art, culture, and retail.
The exhibition features 23 unique exhibits, showcasing collaborations between 15 Singaporean artists and 13 brands, curated by Justin Loke, Creative Director of the acclaimed art collective Vertical Submarine. Created in 2021, Creative Intersections transforms Funan into a vibrant canvas for artistic expression, integrating public art into a retail environment.
Six snake installations representing Funan’s key passions—Chic, Craft, Fit, Play, Taste, and Tech—are displayed throughout the mall:
For the tenant-level exhibits, eight new brands join the initiative, including Audio Technica, Dal.komm COFFEE, Dreame, The Pace and The Green Collective. Visitors can experience co-created art pieces within participating stores.
Curated by Justin Loke, the gamified exhibition delves into themes of resilience, transformation, and interconnectedness, inspired by the timeless Snakes and Ladders board game. By integrating multimedia art, interactive installations, and cultural motifs, the event promises a rich and immersive experience for shoppers, art lovers, and creatives alike.
