The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) 2024 has successfully wrapped up its 37th edition, achieving 100% of its donation targets and spreading festive joy to a record 51,185 beneficiaries. Launched on 23 November, this year’s campaign overcame significant challenges, thanks to the unwavering support of the community.
Despite facing its lowest donation levels in 37 years earlier this December, BBSG rallied the public to step up with contributions and volunteering efforts. The heartfelt response led to a steady rise in donations during the final two weeks, ensuring all General Wishes and Specific Wishes beneficiaries received the support they needed.
Marking its 37th year, BBSG introduced several new initiatives to make giving more accessible and meaningful. The project’s launch featured the debut performance by The Boys’ Brigade Acapella Group, adding a festive musical touch to the occasion. Additionally, new food hamper delivery options were introduced, enabling volunteers without access to vehicles to take part in delivering cheer.
The signature red food hampers, filled with generous food donations from collection points across Singapore, were delivered to General Wishes beneficiaries. Meanwhile, Specific Wishes beneficiaries received personalized gifts funded through online donations, fulfilling their individual requests.
BBSG expressed deep gratitude to the public for their invaluable contributions, making it possible to achieve this year’s ambitious goals and bring joy to those in need.
