Toyota Singapore Unveils the Start Your Impossible Hero Project 2024: Bridging Fashion and Inclusivity

Toyota Singapore is proud to launch the Start Your Impossible Hero Project 2024, a groundbreaking initiative that celebrates inclusivity through the transformative lens of adaptive fashion. Making his Creative Director debut, Singaporean Paralympic swimmer and Global Team Toyota Athlete (GTTA) Toh Wei Soong brings his vision to life in a stunning fashion showcase on 12 December 2024 at the Toyota Boutique at Leng Kee.

Breaking Barriers with Adaptive Fashion

In collaboration with Claudia Poh, founder of the adaptive fashion label Werable, Toh presents a bold collection of 16 stunning looks, designed to redefine adaptive design. Modeled by individuals of diverse abilities, the collection seamlessly combines functionality, elegance, and self-expression, empowering wearers to embrace both style and dignity.

This debut collection blends Toh’s passion for inclusivity with Claudia’s expertise in textiles and production, creating a series of pieces that inspire confidence and reflect the transformative power of adaptive design.

Toyota RAV4 Meets Adaptive Art

Adding a visual twist to the event, Toyota Singapore has unveiled a Toyota RAV4 wrapped in a design inspired by Toh Wei Soong’s sketches. This eye-catching vehicle not only showcases Toh’s artistic vision but also symbolizes the strength of adaptive creativity. It stands as a testament to the synergy between fashion and mobility, merging innovation and inclusivity across industries.

Empowering Communities Through Design and Action

Toyota’s global Start Your Impossible initiative, launched in 2018, embodies the brand’s mission to create a more inclusive, sustainable, and mobile world. Toh Wei Soong’s dual passions for sports and fashion align perfectly with Toyota’s vision, celebrating individuals who push boundaries and drive social change.

To further their commitment to inclusivity, Toh’s debut adaptive collection will be auctioned, with all proceeds benefiting the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD), an organization that has been instrumental in supporting Toh’s journey. Additionally, $5,000 from the sale of the Toyota RAV4 will be donated to SPD, ensuring a lasting impact on the community.

The Start Your Impossible Hero Project 2024 is more than a fashion event—it’s a celebration of empowerment, creativity, and the limitless possibilities of inclusive design.
