Boys’ Brigade Share-A-Gift 2024 Aims to Reach Over 50,000 Beneficiaries with Expanded Volunteer Opportunities

Returning for its 37th year, the Boys’ Brigade Share-A-Gift (BBSG) is setting new records with its ambitious 2024 campaign. Officially launched at SUN-DAC (Choa Chu Kang) by Guest-of-Honour Mr. Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, the initiative aims to support 51,185 beneficiaries, marking its most extensive outreach yet.

A Season of Giving: Supporting Vulnerable Communities

This year, BBSG continues to prioritize needs-based gifting with thoughtfully curated food hampers and individualized items.

  • General Wishes: Over 42,779 beneficiaries will receive hampers packed with healthier food options, including halal-certified canned foods, rice, instant noodles, beverages, and biscuits. These are distributed to ComCare families, KidSTART participants, Social Service Agencies (SSAs), and MSF’s ComLink+ programme families.
  • Specific Wishes: BBSG will also fulfill 8,406 personalized requests, ranging from essentials like shoes and clothing to household appliances, bringing tailored support to children, seniors, and individuals with special needs.

BBSG 2024 invites the community to take part in its mission with expanded volunteer programs:

  • Daily Deliveries: Volunteers with vehicles can register here starting November 23, 2024.
  • Delivery Flag Off: Volunteers without vehicles can participate from December 3, 2024, via the same registration link.

Food donations can also be dropped off at six NTUC FairPrice locations daily from November 23 to December 16, 2024 (1 PM to 6 PM):

  • Ang Mo Kio Hub (Level B2, FairPrice Xtra)
  • Jurong Point (Level 3, FairPrice Xtra)
  • Kallang Wave Mall (Level 1, FairPrice Xtra)
  • NEX (Level 3, FairPrice Xtra)
  • Bedok Mall (Level B2, FairPrice Finest)
  • Thomson Plaza (Level 3, FairPrice Finest)

How to Contribute

  • Pre-Curated Hampers: Available at Cheers and FairPrice Xpress stores or online at FairPrice, with prices ranging from $19.90 to $80.
  • Cash Donations: Via PayNow at NTUC FairPrice stores (December 1–31, 2024), AXS stations (November 28–December 31, 2024), or the Boys’ Brigade Giving.sg page (November 23–December 31, 2024).
