ErgoTune, a homegrown Singaporean brand renowned for its ergonomic seating solutions, has unveiled the latest and most ambitious ErgoTune Vesby, a locally designed office/ work-from-home (WFH) chair, enhanced from previous models and developed over three years.
Vesby aims to blend aesthetic appeal with advanced ergonomic features, catering to working professionals and casual users, seeking both comfort and style in their workspace or home.
The Vesby distinguishes itself with a seamless, artisanal design, moving away from the traditional cookie-cutter, formal appearance of ergonomic chairs that seek to fade into the surroundings and not draw attention.
Available in five colours, including loud ones—Charcoal Black, Caesius Blue, Coral Red, Celadon Green, and Ash Brown, the Vesby offers a modern and cohesive look.
Building upon the foundation laid by its predecessors, the Vesby introduces several enhancements:
For those who like to DIY, the Vesby is designed for straightforward assembly, with most parts pre-assembled into four major components, requiring only five steps to set up. All necessary tools and instructions are embedded within the seat pan for convenient future adjustments or reassembly.
The intuitive design of the control knobs facilitates easy customisation, enhancing the overall user experience. We were able to get around the features easily, seamlessly switching the settings for the Vesby from one user to another in a minute or so.
A key new feature of the Vesby is its introduction of Poppits, plug-and-play design elements that allow users to personalise their chairs.
Through their collaborations with several local illustrators, Poppits offers a wide range of designs, enabling users to infuse personal touches into their workspace.
I really like the cheeky “BRB” sign and other emoji or status related Poppits that can be pinned on my Vesby when I am away from my desk while my video camera is still on in a call.
Overall, ErgoTune Vesby represents a marked advancement in ErgoTune’s ergonomic office seating solutions, combining thoughtful design with comprehensive adjustability. It took Ergotune three years to finalise Vesby and you can tell that a lot of effort went into the design.
While it comes at a premium price point of S$899, the Vesby offers features and aesthetics comparable, if not better than higher-end branded chairs which cost at least 20% more, making it a compelling option for those seeking both functionality and style at a wallet-friendlier pricing.
