ErgoTune Vesby: Singapore’s Homegrown Ergonomic Chair Enhanced and Designed Over Three Years with NEW Plug-and-Play Design Elements

ErgoTune, a homegrown Singaporean brand renowned for its ergonomic seating solutions, has unveiled the latest and most ambitious ErgoTune Vesby, a locally designed office/ work-from-home (WFH) chair, enhanced from previous models and developed over three years.

Vesby aims to blend aesthetic appeal with advanced ergonomic features, catering to working professionals and casual users, seeking both comfort and style in their workspace or home.

The Vesby distinguishes itself with a seamless, artisanal design, moving away from the traditional cookie-cutter, formal appearance of ergonomic chairs that seek to fade into the surroundings and not draw attention.

Available in five colours, including loud ones—Charcoal Black, Caesius Blue, Coral Red, Celadon Green, and Ash Brown, the Vesby offers a modern and cohesive look.

Ergonomic Features

Building upon the foundation laid by its predecessors, the Vesby introduces several enhancements:

TriTune 3D Pro Headrest
  • TriTune 3D Pro Headrest: This headrest offers three-way adjustability – height, depth, and angle, allowing users to switch between productivity and relaxation modes. Its wider design accommodates various body types, allowing for more than one individual to share the chair, switching effortlessly from one setting to another. This enhanced headrest provides comprehensive support to the neck and trapezius muscles. The latter is a pair of large triangular muscles extending over the back of the neck and shoulders and moving the head and shoulder blade, commonly the cause of neck and back aches due to bad seating postures.
SmartFlex Pro Lumbar Support
  • SmartFlex Pro Lumbar Support: Featuring independent height and tension adjustments, this lumbar support adapts to the spine’s natural curve, aiming to reduce lower back pain and enhance overall comfort. This is a key feature of ErgoTune chairs and it has been enhanced to give even better support.
SyncTilt Armrests
  • SyncTilt Armrests: These armrests synchronise with the backrest’s tilt, ensuring continuous support during recline. They offer 360-degree pivoting, width adjustments to accommodate different shoulder widths, and forward-backward movement, catering to various user preferences. This is perfect for switching between working mode from leaning against a computer screen, typing and just fiddling with your mobile phone or holding a book with both your hands.
DuraWeave 2.0 Hybrid Mesh
  • DuraWeave 2.0 Hybrid Mesh: The Vesby utilises a 4:1 blend of fabric and polyester, providing breathability suitable for Singapore’s humid climate, along with enhanced durability. This material is also hypoallergenic, catering to users with sensitive skin. This mesh material is much better than leather or PVC for Singapore’s hot weather all year round.

For those who like to DIY, the Vesby is designed for straightforward assembly, with most parts pre-assembled into four major components, requiring only five steps to set up. All necessary tools and instructions are embedded within the seat pan for convenient future adjustments or reassembly.

The main control knobs on the right side of the chair

The intuitive design of the control knobs facilitates easy customisation, enhancing the overall user experience. We were able to get around the features easily, seamlessly switching the settings for the Vesby from one user to another in a minute or so.

Customisation and Personalisation with the NEW Poppits

ErgoTune’s Poppits

A key new feature of the Vesby is its introduction of Poppits, plug-and-play design elements that allow users to personalise their chairs.

Through their collaborations with several local illustrators, Poppits offers a wide range of designs, enabling users to infuse personal touches into their workspace.

How you can say “BRB” on a video call without having to voice it out

I really like the cheeky “BRB” sign and other emoji or status related Poppits that can be pinned on my Vesby when I am away from my desk while my video camera is still on in a call.

Overall, ErgoTune Vesby represents a marked advancement in ErgoTune’s ergonomic office seating solutions, combining thoughtful design with comprehensive adjustability. It took Ergotune three years to finalise Vesby and you can tell that a lot of effort went into the design.

While it comes at a premium price point of S$899, the Vesby offers features and aesthetics comparable, if not better than higher-end branded chairs which cost at least 20% more, making it a compelling option for those seeking both functionality and style at a wallet-friendlier pricing.

If you are interested in getting an ErgoTune Vesby for yourself, visit the official website for more details (There is an extended 11.11 sale now and it is going for just S$799 for a limited time only).
