SINGATHON 2024: A 12-Hour Musical Marathon for a Cause

SINGATHON returns for its fifth edition on Sunday, 1st December 2024, as part of Giving Week, organized by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC). This year, Sing’theatre invites music lovers to join a 12-hour musical celebration aimed at raising $60,000 to support its Community Outreach Programme, bringing the transformative power of live music to underserved communities, particularly in hospitals and healthcare institutions.

An Unmissable Musical Experience

Held at the International French School of Singapore, the event will run from 10 am to 10 pm, featuring over 200 performers from diverse backgrounds and genres. From jazz and pop to rock and salsa, the day promises something for every music enthusiast.

Event Highlights

  • Star Performers: Rising star Maya Raisha and celebrated artists Cat Ong, Danny Koh, David Ng, and Hillary Francis will grace the stage.
  • Community Talent: Performances by choirs, bands, and soloists, including The Sampaguitas, a choir of foreign domestic workers supported by Sing’theatre.
  • Global Access: Enjoy the event online via live streams on YouTube and Facebook.

A Cause Worth Supporting

All proceeds from SINGATHON will fund impactful initiatives, including:

  • MusicFest@SGH: An annual event bringing live music to Singapore General Hospital.
  • Once Upon a Song: Monthly lunchtime concerts at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
  • Sing Me a Story: Weekly musical performances for young patients at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and National University Hospital.
