With its newly enhanced interiors still being unveiled, shoppers can enjoy a blend of sustainability, community engagement, and festive surprises as the mall transforms into a holiday wonderland filled with fun activities and exclusive offerings for everyone.

Eco-Friendly Holiday Magic: Transforming Bottles into a Christmas Tree

From 15 November to 29 December, City Square Mall becomes a haven of festive cheer, featuring breathtaking holiday décor at City Green Park and B1 Fountain Square. For those looking to capture the season’s spirit in photos, these areas are the perfect backdrop.

In partnership with CP-Meiji, the mall introduces an innovative upcycling initiative that not only celebrates the season but also promotes sustainability. Over the past three months, City Square Mall collected over 1,200 used bottles, upcycling more than 400 into lamps for a one-of-a-kind eco-friendly Christmas tree. Unveiled on 2 December, this stunning creation will set a new record in the Singapore Book of Records for the Tallest Christmas Tree Made of Bottle Lamps.

Shoppers can get in on the fun by participating in the “Count the number of Meiji milk bottle lamps” challenge from 2 to 15 December. To enter, simply guess how many bottle lamps make up the tree, and post your answer on Instagram tagging @citysquaremall and @cpmeijisingapore. Three lucky winners will each receive $50 worth of Meiji products. Plus, don’t miss the “Adopt A Lamp” contest on Facebook, where 100 shoppers can win their very own upcycled lamp by sharing creative reasons why they’d love one.

The bottle collection drive for Meiji milk bottles and cartons continues through 30 June 2024, and shoppers can drop off their clean bottles at the Customer Service Counter at Basement 2.

Santa’s Storytelling Sessions

Add a touch of warmth to your festive outings with Santa’s storytelling sessions, where Santa Claus himself will share enchanting tales from popular children’s storybooks. These heartwarming stories, full of holiday spirit, are sure to captivate both young and old, right under the twinkling Christmas tree at B1 Fountain Square.

In the spirit of giving, City Square Mall has launched a collection drive for pre-loved children’s books. Thanks to the generosity of shoppers, a total of 650 books have already been donated. These books will find a new home at the Jalan Besar Community Centre, where they’ll bring joy to even more families.

Back by popular demand, Ms Durian returns to City Square Mall with an exclusive pop-up from 29 November to 22 December 2024.
