Emirates has just turned up the volume on in-flight entertainment, unveiling a new collaboration with Spotify, the world’s leading audio-streaming subscription service, to enhance its ICE (Information, Communication, Entertainment) system. Travelers onboard Emirates flights to over 140 destinations can now tune into curated Spotify playlists and podcasts directly from their seatback entertainment screens, offering a fresh level of personalization and entertainment at 30,000 feet.
With a global audience in mind, Emirates’ Spotify library features an impressive array of music and podcasts in multiple languages. At launch, passengers can enjoy content in English, Portuguese, Tagalog, and German, with plans to expand offerings in 2025 to include Spanish, Hindi, and more. New music and podcast options will be regularly added to keep content fresh alongside Emirates’ existing lineup of over 3,500 hours of music, documentaries, and thought-provoking audio.
From business insights to gripping true crime stories, Spotify’s popular podcast lineup is now available to Emirates passengers. Listeners can dive into popular shows like What Now? with comedian Trevor Noah, who brings candid conversations with celebrities and thought leaders, or The Bill Simmons Podcast, which covers sports and pop culture with guests like Tom Hanks and Adam Sandler. Other highlights include Case 63, a highly immersive, scripted podcast, and The Journal, a collaboration with The Wall Street Journal that offers deep dives into money, business, and power.
To match every musical taste, Emirates now offers a selection of Spotify’s most popular playlists, crafted by editorial experts for a fully immersive travel soundtrack. From the freshest beats on RapCaviar to the lively sounds of Viva Latino, nostalgic hits on All Out 90s, and soothing Jazz Classics, there’s a playlist for every music lover.
This Spotify collaboration builds on Emirates’ award-winning ICE system, which already boasts over 6,500 channels in more than 40 languages, including 4,000 hours of movies, 2,000 movies from Hollywood and beyond, hundreds of TV series, and full box sets. For younger travelers, there are 250 dedicated kids and family channels, while exclusive shows from streaming giants like Paramount+, HBO Max, Discovery+, and BBC add to the diverse lineup. Plus, Emirates offers complimentary Wi-Fi for Emirates Skywards members, further enhancing its in-flight connectivity experience.
