Lufthansa is set to launch its state-of-the-art Allegris First Class Suite on November 9, introducing travelers to a new level of comfort and privacy on long-haul routes.
The first destinations for this innovative suite experience will be Bangalore and Mumbai, with the service to Bangalore commencing on November 9 and Mumbai following on November 15.
The Allegris First Class suite, onboard the Airbus A350-900, offers exclusive features designed to provide a “private room above the clouds.”
Each suite is equipped with a near one-meter-wide heated or cooled seat, ceiling-high walls with a lockable door, a large table, and ample storage in a personal wardrobe. Passengers can relax with personalised lighting and sound, thanks to a massive screen and wireless over-ear headphones, making the suite both comfortable and customizable.
The new Suite Plus feature also allows guests to share the suite with a travel partner, adding a unique experience to the journey.
Initially, Lufthansa’s most loyal guests will be invited to experience the new suite during a technical introduction phase. The airline plans to expand availability as more aircraft are equipped with the Allegris cabin, enabling more passengers to enjoy this premier class through upgrades and bookings over time.
In another industry-first, Lufthansa has been recognised with the APEX Innovation Award for pioneering virtual reality (VR) technology in in-flight entertainment.
In collaboration with Meta and MSM.digital, Lufthansa is currently testing mixed reality experiences, making it the first airline globally to offer this level of VR-based entertainment. Passengers in the Business Class Suite on Allegris-equipped flights can immerse themselves in cinema-style movies, 360-degree travel podcasts, interactive games, and relaxation exercises with state-of-the-art VR headsets, offering a transformative inflight experience.
