Grammy-nominated band OneRepublic has unveiled a behind-the-scenes video for their latest track, “Singapore,” a standout from their new album, Artificial Paradise. Released in partnership with Universal Music Singapore (UMSG) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the video captures the essence of Singapore’s vibrant culture and architecture, which inspired the band during their recent visit.
The video, filmed during OneRepublic’s visit for the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2024, showcases the band’s journey across iconic Singapore locations such as Marina One, the Peranakan Museum, Armenian Street, and the Old Hill Street Police Station. These landmarks played a key role in shaping the aesthetic and sonic vibe of “Singapore.”
Ms. Choo Huei Miin, Executive Director of Brand at Singapore Tourism Board, praised the track as “a beautiful homage to Singapore’s harmonious blend of heritage and modernity.” She invites listeners to experience the rich tapestry of Singapore as reflected in the track, celebrating the city’s unique character that OneRepublic has captured.
The behind-the-scenes video is now available for viewing, offering fans and listeners a glimpse into the band’s creative process and a unique perspective on Singapore’s influence on their music.
