Eden Restaurant at Pullman Singapore Orchard Debuts Limited Time Surf & Turf Menu, Each Paired with Signature Fluffy Scrambled Egg Donburi Fried Rice

Eden Restaurant at Pullman Singapore Orchard recently launched a new Surf & Turf menu, available exclusively from 1 October to 30 November 2024. This limited-time offering blends premium land and sea ingredients with bold Asian flavours, delivering a modern twist to traditional favourites.

Asher and I went for a lunch tasting over the weekend and we managed to try all three of the items for this limited time menu:

Lemongrass Duck Tsukune with Garlic Kabayaki Maine Lobster ($68)
Black Pepper Hoisin Beef Tenderloin with Pu-erh Tea Jumbo Prawn ($58)

Roasted Otak Chicken Breast with Crispy Shrimp Paste Barramundi ($42)
Each dish is served alongside Eden’s signature Fluffy Scrambled Egg Donburi Fried Rice

Out of the three combination items, our favourite was the decadent lobster and duck pairing, featuring a fragrant duck meatball with a tender Maine lobster in a sweet garlic kabayaki glaze. The latter melts in your mouth while the former is juicy on the inside.

The richness of the duck complements the buttery lobster, both harmonising perfectly when you eat them together with the accompanying scrambled egg fried rice.

We would recommend trying this Surf & Turf combination as the top choice.

Our next favourite was the beef and prawn pairing, an indulgent pairing of tenderloin and jumbo prawn infused with aged Chinese Pu-erh tea. The earthy, smoky notes of the tea enhance the prawn’s sweetness, while the hoisin-glazed beef adds a savoury richness, creating a well-rounded, hearty dish

For the health-conscious, the chicken and fish combination will satisfy those who prefer something clean tasting. The chicken breast is marinated with spices reminiscent of traditional otak, offering a smoky, rich essence, while the shrimp paste-coated barramundi is crispy on the outside and tender within, balancing the dish’s textures and flavours.

Each dish is accompanied by Eden’s signature Fluffy Scrambled Egg Donburi Fried Rice, a creamy and fragrant addition to the bold, intense flavours of the mains. You will understand why this is a signature dish after trying it, it is so good you can eat it on its own and is incredibly versatile, pairing well with just about any mains.

To elevate the dining experience, the sommelier at Pullman Singapore Orchard has curated a selection of wines, priced between $15 and $21 per glass, specifically chosen to complement the Asian-inspired flavours of the menu.

The Surf & Turf menu is available daily from 12pm to 11pm until 30 November 2024. For reservations or more information, visit Eden Restaurant’s website.
