The National Library Board’s (NLB) signature event, the Time of Your Life (TOYL) Celebration, is back for its 14th edition, bringing over 130 engaging talks, presentations, and showcases focused on active aging. Running throughout October, this year’s theme, “Connecting Generations Through Discovery,” invites seniors, innovators, youths, and gerontology experts to explore ways to age well and discover the latest technology that supports healthy aging. Jointly organized with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), the event is part of the larger National Celebration of Seniors, led by the Agency for Integrated Care.
TOYL Celebration 2024 kicks off simultaneously with the Square Stepping Festival and Seniors Sports Challenge at Heartbeat@Bedok, bringing exciting activities to multiple venues. The main event, The Innovation Showcase, will be held at The Plaza in the National Library Building from October 14 to 16, 10 AM to 5 PM. Admission is free, and walk-ins are welcome.
Experience the Age+ Living Lab, a collaboration between SUSS and SG Assist, where seniors and caregivers can explore assistive products in a simulated home environment. Learn how these technologies enhance daily living and improve well-being.
Discover cutting-edge Gerontechnology and Assistive Technology solutions designed by bGood in partnership with the community, aimed at improving the lives of the elderly and those with disabilities.
Explore the benefits of Virtual Reality (VR) in enhancing social mobility and cognitive function for the elderly, at an interactive booth presented by students from the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic.
