Alienware has officially launched the Alienware Pro Headset, an esports-caliber headset designed to enhance competitive gaming experiences. This new addition follows the success of the recently released Alienware Pro Mouse and Keyboard.
To meet the rigorous demands of esports, Alienware collaborated with over 100 elite esports athletes and streamers, including members of the renowned Team Liquid. After 18 months of development, insights from Team Liquid were combined with Alienware’s engineering expertise to create their most advanced gaming headset to date.
Through extensive focus groups, interviews, and hands-on research, Alienware identified key features desired by professional gamers. The Pro Headset boasts:
These innovations allow gamers to pick up essential audio cues, such as the footsteps of approaching characters or the voices of teammates, with unmatched precision.
In competitive gaming, audio quality reigns supreme. The Alienware Pro Headset’s 50mm graphene-coated drivers provide an exceptional directional audio experience. This lightweight, atom-thin material ensures a natural and clear sound with depth, minimizing distortion—especially at higher frequencies—making it a preferred choice for first-person shooter (FPS) games. Players can react swiftly to in-game sounds, often identifying opponents without visual confirmation.
Additional audio features include:
For versatility, the headset also offers Transparency Mode, allowing players to remain aware of their surroundings during non-gaming activities.
Clear communication is vital for competitive gaming. The Pro Headset features a two-mic noise-canceling system that focuses on the player’s voice while eliminating background noise. Guided by a sophisticated machine learning model, this mic is trained to enhance voice clarity in various environments—whether at home or on stage.
Alienware’s minimal design prioritizes comfort and style, featuring soft memory-foam leatherette earcups that ensure a snug fit. This design not only improves sound isolation but also accommodates long gaming sessions without discomfort. The headset is designed for both gaming and on-the-go use, allowing users to detach the mic and connect via Bluetooth for mobile gaming.
With three connection modes—USB-C, Bluetooth 5.3, and 2.4GHz—players can enjoy a seamless experience across PC, mobile, and console gaming. The battery life is impressive, offering up to 70 hours on a 2.4GHz connection with ANC off.
The Alienware Command Centre 6.4 provides users with easy access to customize their audio experience, including:
Additionally, the Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Headset will be updated to support mobile gaming and Bluetooth-enabled devices.
The Alienware Pro Headset will be available for purchase in October for $339 (including GST), while the Alienware Tri-Mode Headset will retail for $239 (including GST).
