Volvo Cars and The Artground Present #VolvoExplorers: A Fun-Filled Learning Space for Young Minds

Volvo Cars has teamed up with The Artground to unveil the #VolvoExplorers space, a dynamic new addition to The Artground’s Explore Arts Space – Many Alternative Possibilities. This exciting collaboration highlights Volvo’s core values of safety and sustainability through engaging, hands-on activities designed to inspire young minds.

Safety at the Heart of the Experience

Safety is a key focus of #VolvoExplorers, reflecting Volvo’s legacy of innovation. Families can explore Volvo’s dedication to safety, with activities centered around the iconic 3-point seatbelt, invented by Volvo in 1959. Through interactive exercises, children are encouraged to learn about and practice safety habits early on.

Sustainability in Action

Volvo’s commitment to sustainability is brought to life with lessons on electric vehicles (EVs) like the Volvo EX30. Kids will discover how EVs help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promoting a cleaner environment. The space also highlights the EX30’s cutting-edge ability to fully charge in just 28 minutes, showcasing how technology and sustainability can work hand-in-hand.

Creativity Meets Innovation

At #VolvoExplorers, kids become designers, builders, and safety inspectors. The centerpiece is an Explorer-Sized Volvo car, modeled after the Volvo EX30, “parked” at an EV charging station. This installation emphasizes the importance of seatbelts while giving children a fun, hands-on experience with Volvo’s EV technologies.

A Journey Through Safety and Sustainability

The space also includes a “Safety Check” station, where children can inspect safety features like seatbelts and cameras, mirroring the real-world safety assessments that Volvo cars undergo. Additionally, an interactive magnetic road map wall teaches kids about sustainability initiatives using wooden models of Volvo’s electric vehicles.

Children can also get creative by sketching car designs on the Ideation Chalk Wall and exploring eco-friendly materials used in Volvo cars, offering a tangible design experience. To complete the adventure, they can role-play as car designers with aprons, helmets, and tools, assembling and inspecting their own vehicle prototypes.

This collaboration underscores The Artground’s commitment to providing interactive, educational experiences for young children, making learning both fun and meaningful at #VolvoExplorers.
