The Affordable Art Fair is marking a monumental year in 2024, celebrating both its 25th global anniversary and 15 years of bringing accessible art to Singapore. From November 7-10, the F1 Pit Building will transform into an art haven, continuing the fair’s mission to make art ownership achievable for everyone while spotlighting its lasting influence on both the global and local art scenes.
Since its 2010 debut, Affordable Art Fair Singapore has left an indelible mark on the local art ecosystem. Over the past 15 years, the fair has welcomed more than 215,000 visitors and featured over 1,200 galleries. With more than 20,000 pieces of contemporary art sold, generating over S$56.5 million, the fair has helped democratize art, bringing high-quality pieces into homes across Singapore.
The 2023 edition saw the fair reach new heights, with 16,000 attendees and art sales hitting S$5 million. Notably, nearly half of the visitors were first-time attendees, many of whom left with their first-ever artwork. This success reflects the fair’s role in nurturing a new wave of art collectors while supporting the livelihoods of over 40,000 artists globally.
This year’s fair will feature 83 galleries, including 19 new participants, offering a diverse range of affordable art. With 75% of the pieces priced under S$7,500 and all artworks capped at S$15,000, accessibility remains at the forefront. Local favorites like White Space Contemporary and Bruno Gallery return, alongside international names such as Alessandro Berni Gallery from the United States and Lime Tree Gallery from the UK.
Visitors can also look forward to curated exhibitions, including the #SPOTLIGHT section, which celebrates artists who have been with the fair since its early days, showcasing the evolution of their work. Immersive Special Project installations will engage attendees, offering a deeper connection to contemporary art.
The fair offers more than just art browsing. Guests can enjoy educational talks, interactive workshops, and the Children’s Art Studio, where young creatives can explore their talents. For a relaxing break, the Gastro Park, Café, and Champagne Lounge will offer food, wine, and champagne from beloved local vendors.
The Affordable Art Fair’s 15th year in Singapore is not just an exhibition—it’s a celebration of art, culture, and community. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or purchasing your first piece, this event creates an inviting space where art and lifestyle come together seamlessly.
