This October, Andaz Singapore will host the highly anticipated Austrian Gourmet Week, bringing a taste of Austria’s finest culinary traditions to the city. Running from October 26 to November 2, 2024, this gastronomic event is presented in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy Singapore and Austria Tourism. Michelin-starred Chef Max Stiegl, celebrated as Gault & Millau Austria’s Chef of the Year 2021, will curate the menus, offering his unique take on traditional Austrian dishes with a modern flair.
At the meat-centric steakhouse 665°F, diners can indulge in a variety of dishes prepared using a PIRA oven, which combines the precision of an oven with the flavors of a wood-fired barbecue. Highlights include the Grilled Beef Carpaccio with Austrian mountain cheese and miso, Käsespätzle, and the Pan-roasted Beef Flank Steak. Desserts like the classic Vanilla Mille-Feuille and Apfelstrudel will cap off the evening.
Alley on 25 will offer a comforting selection of Austrian starters and mains, such as Pannonischer Salat with oxheart tomatoes, Viennese Chicken Leg braised with paprika and marjoram, and the iconic Sacher-Torte for dessert. This casual dining experience is perfect for lunch enthusiasts seeking authentic Austrian flavors.
Wine lovers can look forward to a masterclass at 665°F on October 28, 2024, and an Austrian wine dinner at Cantonese restaurant 5 ON 25 on November 1, 2024, where Chef Lim Hong Lih will pair exquisite wines with modern Cantonese creations.
Chef Max Stiegl, known for his dedication to sustainability and traditional cooking, will showcase his expertise, using seasonal ingredients from Austria’s Burgenland region.
