Taylor Swift Dominates the 2024 MTV VMAs with Seven Wins, Including Video of the Year

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) was a night to remember, with Taylor Swift emerging as the evening’s biggest winner, claiming seven awards and tying for the most overall wins. The pop icon took home the coveted Video of the Year, presented by Burger King, for her smash hit “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, cementing her status as a musical powerhouse.

Swift’s wins didn’t stop there—she also claimed Artist of the Year, Best Pop, and Best Collaboration for “Fortnight.” She further showcased her creative brilliance by winning Best Direction and Best Editing for the same video, making it one of the night’s most celebrated projects. The song also secured Song of the Summer, presented by Hilton, rounding out an incredible haul for the artist.

The night also saw SEVENTEEN crowned as Best Group, while Billie Eilish won Video for Good for “What Was I Made For” from the Barbie movie. Katy Perry, this year’s Video Vanguard Award recipient, delivered a show-stopping performance of her iconic hit “Roar,” which was named the VMAs Most Iconic Performance.

Ariana Grande won Best Cinematography for “we can’t be friends (wait for your love),” while Megan Thee Stallion clinched Best Art Direction for “BOA” and Best Trending Video for her collaboration “Mamushi” with Yuki Chiba. Eminem’s “Houdini” secured Best Visual Effects, further demonstrating the creative prowess of the night’s winners.
