This winter, the iconic Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi is marking its 35th anniversary with the unveiling of a brand-new space-themed Icebar. Designed by Sweden’s PinPin Studio and in collaboration with Christer Fuglesang, Sweden’s first astronaut, the “In Orbit” Icebar promises guests an extraordinary journey through space, all while enjoying a drink in the ice-crafted bar.
Opening on November 8, Icebar “In Orbit” invites you to experience life as an astronaut—from launch to the breathtaking view of Earth from space. Crafted from 90 cubic meters of ice and 80 cubic meters of snow, this unique Icebar is set to wow visitors with a life-sized astronaut sculpture made entirely of snow.
Step into the Icehotel’s year-round section, Icehotel 365, where the new Icebar is set to debut. For over three decades, Icehotel has been a global gathering spot, serving drinks in ice glasses made from the Torne River’s crystal-clear ice. The Icehotel’s seasonal section opens on December 13, welcoming guests into an unforgettable winter wonderland.
