Income Insurance has launched FlexiTravel Plus, Singapore’s first travel insurance offering hourly coverage for travel across 19 Asian destinations. This innovative policy allows travelers to extend their coverage as needed, providing a flexible solution for short trips.

Key Features of FlexiTravel Plus

• Hourly Coverage: Start with a six-hour block of protection for just $1.80, with the option to extend at $0.30 per additional hour, up to a maximum of $3.00 per day. For example, a 3-day, 2-night trip to Thailand would cost a maximum of $9.
• Enhanced Benefits: Coverage includes trip disruption, travel delays, overbooked transport, travel agency insolvency, loss of electronics due to theft, overseas medical expenses, and emergency medical evacuation. Travelers with sports equipment can also opt for additional coverage.
• Convenience: Coverage can be activated, extended, or stopped anytime via the My Income mobile app, allowing flexibility if travel plans change.

Industry-First Post-Departure Purchase

Uniquely, FlexiTravel Plus introduces an industry-first feature allowing travelers to buy insurance up to 8 hours after departing Singapore, with a minimum coverage of 24 hours. This feature addresses protection gaps and offers peace of mind for spontaneous travelers or those who forgot to purchase insurance before leaving.

Enhanced Travel Insurance

Income Insurance’s Enhanced PreX Annual Travel Insurance now includes overseas telemedicine services. Policyholders with pre-existing conditions can access 24/7 medical advice through an emergency hotline, with additional support for non-emergency cases such as flu, including guidance for local pharmacies and translation services.
