Jewel Changi Airport has teamed up with Trip.com in a groundbreaking three-year partnership aimed at transforming the travel experience. This collaboration is set to enhance travel and leisure opportunities, combining Jewel’s iconic attractions with Trip.com’s extensive international reach.
The partnership will utilize Trip.com’s global network to attract more international travelers to Jewel, while also boosting Trip.com’s brand visibility among Jewel’s diverse audience. This strategic alliance comes on the heels of Jewel’s impressive growth, with a 15% increase in overall footfall and a 20% rise in foreign visitors from January to June 2024. August saw Jewel achieve record-breaking visitor numbers, surpassing 1 million during the National Day weekend.
To kick off the partnership, Trip.com is hosting “Traveller’s Wonderland,” a captivating travel-themed pop-up event at Jewel from now until October 7. Set amidst Jewel’s lush indoor greenery, this unique display transports visitors to iconic global destinations such as China, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Thailand. Each display offers a vibrant glimpse into these cultures and landscapes, perfect for memorable photo opportunities.
Visitors who share their photos from the event on social media can win prizes through a gachapon (capsule toy) machine, including flight vouchers to Australia worth S$100, tickets to Jewel’s Canopy Park, and exclusive travel merchandise. Additionally, Trip.com’s app features an online scratch card game where participants can win exciting travel experiences, such as a trip for two to Australia and tickets to Universal Studios Japan.
The partnership will also see Jewel Changi Airport launching special campaigns on Trip.com to drive visitor traffic to Canopy Park and boost retail spending. In October, the collaboration will debut the Trip.com Light & Music Showcase, a spectacular event designed by Los Angeles-based water feature designer WET. This show, inspired by Trip.com’s mission to “pursue the perfect trip for a better world,” promises a mesmerizing blend of visual and auditory experiences that celebrate the joy of travel and connect people globally.
